About Myself

Dear Collegues, Students, Friends!

I'm Natalia Shvets, a teacher of English from Vyshgorod, Ukraine.
I have been teaching for about 8 years. I'm teaching kids from 6 to 16.  Besides English I teach British and American Countrystudy, British and American Literature and Business English classes.
There was a period of time when I was also teaching adults. I can't say that being a teacher was my childhood dream, but with the flow of time after trying different jobs, and especially after giving birth to my own children I have completelly made up my mind. I want to be a teacher!
I LOVE CHILDREN! I LOVE TEACHING! I LOVE TEACHING ENGLISH!
I have  some ideas that I 'd like to share with you.

The purpose of this blog is to share teaching ideas with my collegues not only from Ukraine but I hope from all over the world.
I'm absolutely sure that studying English is pleasant and fun. I hope you'll find "Teaching English is My Life!" useful and  interesting.

My teaching philosophy

My philosophy of education is that every child should have the right to learn and get a quality education. Every child that enters into the classroom should feel safe and comfortable.
Individualized instruction is an integral strategy to aid children with different learning preferences. In order to meet individual challenges, lessons must be structured into learning modalities by incorporating auditory, kinesthetic, and visual techniques. Applying a variety of approaches to the learning process is equally important. Using cooperative learning strategies, integrating technology into the classroom, as well as guided individual instruction are all necessary

Learning should be fun and exciting! I try to make my classroom an inviting and safe place where children feel comfortable.

I belive that the best teachers are lifelong learners. A teacher should  continue learning something new daily. That way  teaching will not turn boring. Besides the world advances with technology, and it is responsibility of a teacher to stay updated in order to prepare student for all the upcoming changes in the society and world. Moreover, teachers should be accountable in learning from students as well. Classroom is a mini-society itself and teacher can also learn a lot of things about different culture and beliefs in a classroom from students.

«Учитись важко, а навчить ще важче,
Але не мусиш зупинятись ти –
Як учням віддаси усе найкраще –
То й сам сягнеш нової висоти!

  1. To be honest. Suziria is my 4th school, and actually she is my best teacher for this 9 years of learning in school. She not only does her work proffesionaly but she also is very possitive and eneretic person.

Якщо говорити чесно. Сузір’я моя 4-та школа, і насправді Швець Наталья мій найкращій вчитель, за ці 9 років навчання. Вона не тільки виконує свою роботу професіонально, а й є дуже позитивною та енегрічною людиною.
