Poetry for Kids

Here I've chosen some poems for you to use at the lessons. They are easy and fun. Don't forget to use some moves - your students will love them!
Two little hands
Two little hands go clap, clap, clap
Two little feet go tap,tap,tap
Two little eyes are open wide,
One little head goes side to side.

Row, row, row your boat

Row, row, row your boat
Gently down the stream,
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Life is but a dream.
Hoe, Hoe, Hoe your row
Through the summer heat,
Merrily digging but cheerily singing
Raising beets we'll eat.
Save, save save the wheat,
Beets and sugar too
Corn and potatoes and rice and tomatoes
Are mighty good for you.

At the Zoo

At the zoo we saw a bear,
He had long, dark fuzzy hair.
We saw a lion in a cage,
He was in an awful rage.
We saw the big, long-necked giraffe,
And the silly monkeys made us laugh.
But my favourite animal at the zoo,
Is the elephant--how about you?
